Our team has been working hard in recent months to launch digital services for people with cardiovascular diseases in Canada. This has been a great collaboration with our Canadian partners, the Good Health Group and Good Health Overread, and with AliveCor, a leading manufacturer of mobile ECG devices. Canadians can now perform an ECG themselves and have it reviewed by a registered cardiologist through the Kardia app. Within 24 hours, they will receive a report from the cardiologist confirming the ECG findings.
In the Netherlands, we have gained extensive experience with providing 24-hour response times to a large volume of patient requests. Our HartWacht program has been in place since 2016, and in recent years the HartWacht team in Dokkum alone has carried out nearly 500,000 assessments in the Netherlands. Since the summer of 2022, we have been offering this service in 19 European countries, in collaboration with AliveCor and Cardiologie Centra Nederland.
The Canadian launch of the eHealth service is made possible through a close partnership with AliveCor, the manufacturer of mobile ECG devices. People who have purchased a portable Kardia ECG monitor from AliveCor can have their heart readings directly assessed by a registered cardiologist from Good Health Overread in Canada for a fee or included as part of their KardiaCare membership service. The ECG will be reviewed and a report will be delivered within 24 hours confirming the ECG findings.
The colleagues at Good Health have recently started using MedicalPortal, our electronic patient record system. MedicalPortal is designed in such a way that eHealth applications can be seamlessly integrated into it.
