In the Heart for Health app, we use the following data:

Location (Estimated location and precise location)

When you pair a measuring device, the Heart for Health app may request access to your location to enable the measurement functionality. This permission, whether it is an approximate location permission or a precise location permission, is requested depending on the type of device you plan to use.

Location is required in addition to Bluetooth permission when connecting to the following devices: iHealth Track, iHealth Lina, Omron HEM-9120.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth connectivity is also required when pairing the following devices: iHealth Track, iHealth Lina, Omron HEM-9120. This permission is needed to be able to send data from the measuring device to the Heart for Health app and convert it into valid measurements.

Microphone

The Heart for Health app only needs permission for the microphone when you try to pair the Kardia Mobile device. This permission is required to communicate with the Kardia Mobile sensors and convert the transmitted data into ECG measurements.

Read/Write External Storage

The Heart for Health app needs permission to read/write to the phone’s external storage to enable the app’s PDF functionality (to share measurements from the Heart for Health app) and also to enable the functionality of the AliveCor Kardia SDK.
